Patches sewed on for $1 per patch

Posted on Dec 18 2011 - 9:03pm

A local scout parent is also a professional and experienced seamstress and willing to sew patches on shirts for just $1 per patch.  Mrs. Mindy Moffat is a parent in Pack 513 and will put your Scout's patches on appropriately and securely. (That's a real bargain compared to the $4 per patch the Scout shop charges.)  Mindy's experience sewing patches on military uniforms while she lived in Germany is evident in her work.  Your Scout worked hard to earn his patch, make sure it looks good and stays looking good all while supporting a Scouting family's new home business. Just Sew-Sew • 651-230-3036 • moffat766@comcast.net • 766 Meadwood Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125 •Tailoring • Repairs • Custom Home Decor • Basic Reupholstery • Private Sewing Lessons

Encourage your scout to sell wreaths

Posted on Sep 27 2011 - 10:26am

FLYER ...  PRICE SHEET ... ENVELOPE ... There's many reasons to sell.  Prizes.  Put a pie in a leader's face.  But the biggest reason is that our year will only be as successful as the wreath fundraiser.  The wreath fundraiser pays for most of our activities.  The more sold, the more fund things we can do as a pack.  Good luck!

BSA's new Cub Scout program

Posted on Sep 12 2010 - 11:59pm

Boy Scouts of America has redesigned Cub Scouts for everyone.  For the last few years, a pilot program had existed and has been used by our Bear den.  Now, it is the standard program for all Cub Scouts throughout the nation both at the den and pack level.  It’s a method of delivering the existing program that is handbook based and focuses on den meeting activities leading to youth advancement.  Recognizes shift in family dynamics by moving MOST advancement into the den.  Provides den leaders with specific den meeting plans to ease planning and enhance meeting organization.  The most visible change is a new approach for monthly themes.  Instead of monthly fun themes, each month scouts will focus on one of the Cub Scouting core values.  Citizenship.  Compassion.  Cooperation.  Courage.  Faith.  Health and fitness.  Honesty.  Perseverance.  Positive Attitude.  Resourcefulness.  Respect.  Responsibility.
